What is GHRP-6 10MG?
The hexapeptide (His-D-Trp-Ala-Trp-D-Phe-Lys-NH2) was developed in the early 1980s from structure–activity work on met-enkephalin analogues, and contains two D-amino acids that are uncommon in natural peptides. It was one of the first synthetic growth hormone secretagogues and helped lead to the discovery of the ghrelin receptor, GHS-R1a.
It remains a reference compound for that receptor.

GHRP-6 10MG in published research
Laboratory work uses the hexapeptide to study ghrelin-receptor signalling, growth-hormone release and appetite-related pathways in animal models. Compared with later secretagogues such as Ipamorelin, it is described as less selective, with effects on other pituitary hormones reported in animal studies.
That contrast makes it a useful comparator in selectivity experiments.
Preparation, handling and storage
GHRP-6 10MG is shipped as a freeze-dried (lyophilised) solid. Lyophilisation removes water at low temperature and pressure, which generally makes a peptide more stable in transit and storage than a solution. Before use, the powder is reconstituted with a diluent chosen by your protocol. Common laboratory options include bacteriostatic water, sterile water, dilute acetic acid or a buffered saline such as PBS. Add the diluent slowly down the inside wall of the vial and swirl gently rather than shaking, which can cause foaming.
Keep unopened vials sealed, cold, dry and away from light. After reconstitution, refrigerate the vial and mark it with the date and concentration. For longer storage, keep the product frozen, as printed on the label. Where your protocol allows, divide material into aliquots to avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
