Description
Thymulin is a nine-amino-acid peptide produced by thymic epithelial cells. We supply Thymulin 20MG as a freeze-dried powder in a sealed vial for thymic signalling research.
What is Thymulin?
The peptide was first described as “facteur thymique sérique” (serum thymic factor). It is a nonapeptide whose biological activity in assays depends on binding zinc, which is why it is often discussed as a zinc–peptide complex.
Because it is short and fully characterised, synthetic material is used in research rather than extracts.

Thymulin 20MG in published research
Preclinical work has examined the nonapeptide in models of T-cell differentiation, thymic–neuroendocrine communication and inflammatory signalling. Studies typically consider the zinc-bound form because of its role in activity.
For related thymic peptides see Thymosin Alpha-1 and Thymalin.
If your assay depends on the zinc-bound form, document how and when zinc is introduced, because preparation conditions can change the proportion of active complex.
Preparation, handling and storage
Thymulin 20MG is shipped as a freeze-dried (lyophilised) solid. Lyophilisation removes water at low temperature and pressure, which generally makes a peptide more stable in transit and storage than a solution. Before use, the powder is reconstituted with a diluent chosen by your protocol. Common laboratory options include bacteriostatic water, sterile water, dilute acetic acid or a buffered saline such as PBS. Add the diluent slowly down the inside wall of the vial and swirl gently rather than shaking, which can cause foaming.
Keep unopened vials sealed, cold, dry and away from light. After reconstitution, refrigerate the vial and mark it with the date and concentration. For longer storage, keep the product frozen, as printed on the label. Where your protocol allows, divide material into aliquots to avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
Ordering from Alpha & Omega Peptide
Every listing on our site shows the compound, strength, format and product reference (SKU), so it is simple to match what arrives with your lab records. We describe each item factually, without claims about effects or outcomes, and we answer product questions by email rather than offering usage advice. You can add reconstitution and handling supplies such as bacteriostatic water, acetic acid solution, PBS and mixing syringes to the same order from our lab supplies range. Frequently asked questions
How should Thymulin 20MG be stored?
Keep unopened vials sealed, cold, dry and away from light. Once reconstituted, keep the vial refrigerated and, for longer storage, follow the frozen-storage note on the label. Record the product reference and the date opened in your lab notes so results can be traced back to the material used.
Is Thymulin 20MG for human or animal use?
No. It is supplied for laboratory and in-vitro research only and must not be administered to people or animals. We do not give dosing, administration or medical advice.
