Description

The Ipamorelin/CJC-1295 (no DAC) blend combines a ghrelin-receptor agonist and a modified GHRH fragment in one freeze-dried vial, 5MG of each.

What is in the blend?

Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide that acts at the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a). CJC-1295 without DAC, also called modified GRF(1-29), is the 29-amino-acid GHRH fragment with four amino-acid substitutions that improve stability; it does not carry the drug affinity complex used in CJC-1295 with DAC.

The two act on separate pituitary receptors, which is why the pairing is common in secretagogue research.

Research context

Combining a GHRH-receptor agonist with a ghrelin-receptor agonist is used to study how the two signalling routes interact in growth-hormone release. The no-DAC form has a shorter half-life than the DAC version, which suits experiments that look at pulse-like signalling.

For a strip format with the same two peptides, see Melts Pro™ Ipamorelin + CJC-1295.

Preparation, handling and storage

Ipamorelin/CJC-1295 (no DAC) is shipped as a freeze-dried (lyophilised) solid. Lyophilisation removes water at low temperature and pressure, which generally makes a peptide more stable in transit and storage than a solution. Before use, the powder is reconstituted with a diluent chosen by your protocol. Common laboratory options include bacteriostatic water, sterile water, dilute acetic acid or a buffered saline such as PBS. Add the diluent slowly down the inside wall of the vial and swirl gently rather than shaking, which can cause foaming.

Keep unopened vials sealed, cold, dry and away from light. After reconstitution, refrigerate the vial and mark it with the date and concentration. For longer storage, keep the product frozen, as printed on the label. Where your protocol allows, divide material into aliquots to avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
