Description

CJC-1295 with DAC is a long-acting analogue of growth-hormone-releasing hormone. We supply CJC-1295 with DAC 5MG as a freeze-dried powder in a sealed vial.

What is CJC-1295 with DAC?

The peptide is based on GHRH(1-29) with four amino-acid substitutions that improve resistance to enzymatic breakdown. It also carries a “drug affinity complex” (DAC): a maleimide-containing linker on a C-terminal lysine that binds covalently to circulating albumin.

Albumin binding greatly extends the half-life; early human studies reported a half-life of several days, compared with minutes for native GHRH.

CJC-1295 with DAC 5MG in published research

Research use focuses on sustained GHRH-receptor signalling and how prolonged exposure compares with pulse-like stimulation. The DAC and non-DAC forms are often used side by side for exactly that comparison.

For the short-acting form, see CJC-1295 (no DAC) 5MG or 10MG.

Preparation, handling and storage

CJC-1295 with DAC 5MG is shipped as a freeze-dried (lyophilised) solid. Lyophilisation removes water at low temperature and pressure, which generally makes a peptide more stable in transit and storage than a solution. Before use, the powder is reconstituted with a diluent chosen by your protocol. Common laboratory options include bacteriostatic water, sterile water, dilute acetic acid or a buffered saline such as PBS. Add the diluent slowly down the inside wall of the vial and swirl gently rather than shaking, which can cause foaming.

Keep unopened vials sealed, cold, dry and away from light. After reconstitution, refrigerate the vial and mark it with the date and concentration. For longer storage, keep the product frozen, as printed on the label. Where your protocol allows, divide material into aliquots to avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
