Description
Thymosin Alpha-1 (Tα1) is a 28-amino-acid peptide originally isolated from thymus tissue. We supply Thymosin Alpha-1 10MG as a freeze-dried powder in a sealed vial for immunology and T-cell signalling research.
What is Thymosin Alpha-1?
Tα1 is an N-terminally acetylated peptide derived from the precursor protein prothymosin alpha. It was first described in “thymosin fraction 5”, an extract of calf thymus studied in the 1970s. A synthetic version is known by the non-proprietary name thymalfasin.
Because its sequence is fully defined and relatively short, the peptide is produced synthetically for research rather than extracted.

Preparation, handling and storage
Thymosin Alpha-1 10MG is shipped as a freeze-dried (lyophilised) solid. Lyophilisation removes water at low temperature and pressure, which generally makes a peptide more stable in transit and storage than a solution. Before use, the powder is reconstituted with a diluent chosen by your protocol. Common laboratory options include bacteriostatic water, sterile water, dilute acetic acid or a buffered saline such as PBS. Add the diluent slowly down the inside wall of the vial and swirl gently rather than shaking, which can cause foaming.
Keep unopened vials sealed, cold, dry and away from light. After reconstitution, refrigerate the vial and mark it with the date and concentration. For longer storage, keep the product frozen, as printed on the label. Where your protocol allows, divide material into aliquots to avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
Ordering from Alpha & Omega Peptide
Every listing on our site shows the compound, strength, format and product reference (SKU), so it is simple to match what arrives with your lab records. We describe each item factually, without claims about effects or outcomes, and we answer product questions by email rather than offering usage advice. You can add reconstitution and handling supplies such as bacteriostatic water, acetic acid solution, PBS and mixing syringes to the same order from our lab supplies range. Frequently asked questions
How should Thymosin Alpha-1 10MG be stored?
Keep unopened vials sealed, cold, dry and away from light. Once reconstituted, keep the vial refrigerated and, for longer storage, follow the frozen-storage note on the label. Record the product reference and the date opened in your lab notes so results can be traced back to the material used.
Is Thymosin Alpha-1 10MG for human or animal use?
No. It is supplied for laboratory and in-vitro research only and must not be administered to people or animals. We do not give dosing, administration or medical advice.
